Hailing from the glassy coast of northwest Florida, MYFEVER boasts a sound that is perhaps under explored and under exploited, where avant-garde expression brushes shoulders with the southern tradition of heartfelt songwriting, embodied in always thoughtful and catchy melody.
Having bounced around the south as kids with their family, founding members and brothers, Weston and Garrett Hine landed in the small coastal town of Panama City, Florida. There, they grew up next to the Gulf of Mexico cutting their teeth on any kind of music they could get their hands on. Alternative giants such as Radiohead and The Killers were developmental staples as well as more southern oriented artists such as Florida’s own Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The band was formed in 2014 after a life-altering Kings of Leon concert that left the Hine brothers with ringing ears and inspired hearts.
The first EP release “See The Light” (2015), was recorded in the band's very own back yard of Miramar Beach, Florida with producer Jeremy SH Griffith (Johnny Swim, SUNBEARS!, Old Sea Brigade). Reminiscent of albums such as Kings of Leon's "Youth and Young Manhood" or Radiohead's "The Bends", the EP provided a style of warm melodic complexity, hooking listeners into a curiosity for more.
Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, their latest EP release, "Born For Spaces” (2017), has opened a new iteration of their sound drawing on influences such as The War On Drugs and Coldplay. The first single "Golden" captures listeners in a suspended state of endless space. A choir of massive guitars and airy drums place you in a semi-fantasy state of mind, as the search for the “Golden Horizon” is voiced. The track “Childhood Keepsake, Circa 1991”(130,000+ streams on Spotify) reveals a more tender side and theme throughout the EP that Indie Shuffle describes as, "reflective and nostalgic". Small hometown roots can be found in every note and every lyric. It’s honest, unapologetic and bolstering of a clear humanistic message.
Gratifying and soulfully reflective, MYFEVER continues to fuse modern essence into a recognizable sound. Each release reaffirms the band's dedication to making pure, honest, real music.
Hey, compadres. We're CLOUDLAND. First things first, we are four best friends that love making music together. We grew up in the town of Fayetteville, GA. If anyone knows anything about Fayetteville, it's that after about eight o'clock everything in town closes down. So, on a Friday night the only thing for us to do was to make rock and roll in someone's basement. After about a year of messing around with songwriting and original material, we sat down to talk about getting serious. We all came to the conclusion that if we were gonna take a shot at pursuing music seriously, we were gonna do it together. In January of 2017, we cut our first four song EP. The unique thing about this group is that with every member comes a different musical influence. Hogan (Guitar) loves Dave Mathews, Drake (Bass) is influenced by Green Day, Karmen (Drums) frequently plays Miles Davis, and Zach (Guitar/Vocals) learns from Johnny Cash. We hope these vast and different musical influences contribute to a completely new sound for our fans. We assure you we aren't just another pop band looking for fame. We're just four dudes pursuing a passion to create and perform the best music we can offer. We want our music to be for people, for all people. Whether you've got it all figured out or you're falling apart, we hope these songs speak to you. At the end of the day, we are just four hometown dudes with a drive to make something special. After all, we're not being anyone if we're not being us.
Karmen Smith, Hogan Heim, Zach King, & Drake Bunton
Brother Oliver is a South Carolina-based musical project formed by two brothers, Andrew & Stephen Oliver. The brothers deliver high-energy performances through the lens of a folk-rock / psych-rock aesthetic—a genre they've officially coined as "psychedelic folk-rock."
The band's explorative approach to music strikes a chord with any audience and has rapidly gained recognition in the Southeast and abroad.
