Charlotte NC alt-rockers, Of Good Nature, have built a strong start to 2018 with the quick attention to their newly released music, along with a steady wave of tour dates. Their fusion-friendly approach and openness to explore a range of styles has lead to a highly accessible sound which has recently spread like wildfire across festivals, cruises, blogs, and radio stations. “Take Me Anywhere” has been featured on Sirius XM’s The Pulse and is currently streamed on a handful of popular Spotify playlists including Reggae Summer Beach (43k subscribers). Three additional singles are set for release this Spring and Summer.
Fresh off their second appearance aboard Train’s Sail Across The Sun Cruise, as well as the recent headline at Jacksonville Beach’s Salt Life Festival, the band has also opened for top-tier headliners Sublime with Rome, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, George Clinton, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Gym Class Heroes, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Blues Traveler, Common Kings, Steel Pulse, and many more. They’ve also received recognition for their past studio work, seeing their debut album, Just Add Water, won Indie-Ville’s Reggae Album of the Year and sophomore album Life Worth Livin, debuted at #5 on iTunes Reggae Albums Charts.
One of the hardest working bands in the nation, the group’s seemingly never-ending tour schedule continues with the announcement of the “Take Me Anywhere” tour, celebrating the success of their recording collaborations with Danny Kalb (Beck, Ben Harper, Foster the People, The Movement) at White Star Sound in Charlottesville VA.
Kaya’s Embrace was originally started in the summer of 2014 by Alex Jay Grossman (Singer) & Cody Richard Mcneill (Guiatarist). The high school friends played as an acoustic duo for 2 years mostly doing bar gigs, open mics & house parties. Eventually they had enough original material to make an album but didn’t have the knowledge or experience to do so. Cue Daniel Daughtridge, owner of Watership Studios in Atlanta,Georgia.
After meeting the guys & hearing Esmerelda, Daniel decided to be the excutive producer of Kaya’s Embrace debut album (BPM). The album was then recorded, mixed & mastered with the help of fellow sound engineer Jason Wilkie. BPM was released late August of 2016 & shortly after new members joined the boys began booking shows as a full band. 2017 was an exciting year filled with great opportunities to play alongside some incredible artist at some of Atlanta’s top venues.
2018 looks to be even more incredible as the band continues to grow a bigger fanbase & positively influence the scene. With plans to play their first festival this year, release new music videos & create their second album; it’s safe to say Kaya’s Embrace is ready to rock.
