SWATT Band is a talented and versatile band consisting of five well experienced musicians coming out of the renowned Caribbean island of Jamaica. Each member has spent years playing many different genres of music in various hotel resorts on the island before migrating to the United States where they all reside and working together in the State of Georgia doing what they do best which is playing music and entertaining people across the Diaspora. Because of their unique individual skills, experience and knowledge, this made it very easy for them to play a wide variety of music for everyone and appealing to all demographic listening and dancing pleasure. Their repertoire consists of genres like Reggae, Soca, Country, Funk, R&B, Disco and Jazz.
The word SWATT is an acronym which means Sounds With Attitude. The sounds they produce are always the highest level as they entertain to the fullest until every one hears his favorite tune. As for attitude, they display themselves in the most professional manner. The band was formed in 2002 and has played for many major reggae acts both locally and internationally. Some of the Artistes SWATT has played for are Gregory Isaacs, Freddie McGregor, Sugar Minot, Glen Washington, Tanya Stevens, Lady Saw to name a few. The band has also performed at quite a number of formal events such as the annual Atlanta Jamaican Association Independence Ball which they have done twice and the Barbados Independence Association Ball. They are well known across the state and have performed in several counties such as Newton County at Concert on the Square, Rockdale County, Fulton County at Centennial Park and Dekalb County. They also appear on Atlanta Fox 5 in the morning featuring Monty Montgomery.
