J Smiles

Comedian J Smiles, is an engineer, designer, lawyer, entrepreneur, and caregiver. See  what had-happened-was; her daddy dropped dead, and that broke her mama’s brain  (ALZ). WTH?! J found laughter to lick her wounds. 

Outside Been Open is a tag that J organically used at the end of her 1st viral FreakNik  Tales video. Issa VIBE, a way of life purfecked by GenX. She tackles changing careers,  being a caregiver, losing love, being paranoid during the pandemic and naysayers  doubting GenXers thrown of dominance. 

Comedy with a Cause – her opener, a local painter performing LIVE creating art before  our eyes. The one-of-one piece then auctioned with 100% of proceeds benefiting a local dementia organization.  

She has been on Fox, Fox Soul and CBS; plus share the stage with George Wallace, Gary  Owen, Luenell, Chris Spencer, Kim Coles, Tony Roberts, and Kim Whitley, among  others. J toured with Guy Torry and Faizon Love and performed with Tom Joyner’s  Fantastic Voyage on Carnival Cruises. Her inaugural Tour sold-out. NPR and Seth  Rogen’s HFC have recognized ‘Parenting Up!‘ podcast for J’s merger of humor and  hardship as a family caregiver.
