Serpentwithfeet

serpentwithfeet, the Baltimore-born singer-songwriter, is taking natural steps as a versatile talent from chapter to chapter in his career. His third album GRIP finds its home on the dance floor of Black gay nightlife spaces and the intimate moments that happen there and afterward, no matter the location. It explores moments of physical touch and how they occur. Whether it be a grip around the waist or the face, serpentwithfeet explores all angles. GRIP sonically lives the highs and lows of a night out at the club and romance too. “Damn Gloves (ft. Ty Dolla $ign and Yanga Yaya)” captures the adrenaline rush of a night’s peak with a thumping bass that mimics the heartbeat’s speed as intimacy runs high between two lovers. “Spades” creates a tender moment as a slow-dance would. “Lucky Me” is honest, void of anything that distracts from the moment at hand as serpent’s voice, a twinkling guitar melody, and enchanting synths serve as the driving force to champion a new romance. It’s a body of work that highlights moments closest to the heart. Throughout his career, serpentwithfeet has exhibited versatility through R&B music and he continues to push the limits of his artistry.

MiLES.

When you think of an emerging musician from the eastside of Atlanta, chances are MiLES. sounds nothing like what you’re expecting. MiLES. (purposely stylized with unique capitalization and punctuated for extra pizzazz) is an 18-year old artist whose music transcends time, genres and borders. A true musical prodigy, MiLES. brings together an eclectic mix of sounds to take listeners on a sonic journey of creativity, originality and authentic music mastery.

While MiLES. doesn’t like to define his music by genre, he describes his sound as a “cool mix of funk, alternative and R&B sounds, with hints of electronic music making an occasional appearance.” And with musical influences ranging from Stevie Wonder to Steve Lacy, it’s no surprise that he’s created something truly unique for “people who have a lot to say, but don’t necessarily know how to say it.” MiLES. is a pro at bringing listeners into his world and creating a safe space for vulnerability, expression, and acceptance through music.
