David Foster & Katharine McPhee

DAVID FOSTER is one of the most illustrious composers of our time. With 16 Grammy Awards—including three for Producer of the Year—along with an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe, and three Oscar nominations for Best Original Song, Foster has earned a reputation as a master talent-spotter, playing a key role in launching the careers of Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and Michael Bublé. Few others can claim to have their fingerprints on more major moments in popular music. He has created hit songs for Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, and many more.

In 2008 and 2011, Foster stepped into the spotlight with his own Hitman: David Foster and Friends PBS specials, which became some of the network’s highest-rated programs in decades. His touring show An Intimate Evening with David Foster has since sold out venues worldwide, earning rave reviews. Currently, Foster is preparing to take on Broadway with several projects, including composing the music for a new musical about the iconic “Betty Boop.” In 2023, he released a holiday album with Katharine McPhee titled Christmas Songs. Beyond music, Foster is deeply committed to philanthropy—he founded The David Foster Foundation in 1986 to support Canadian families with children in need of life-saving organ transplants and to raise awareness for organ donation.
