Rival is seeking an experienced, motivated and dynamic Lighting Director to join our event
production team!


THE ROLE
The Lighting Director will engineer live shows at Center Stage, The Loft & Vinyl and oversee the
venue lighting department. This team member will work closely with the Production and
Booking teams as well as artists and clients to prepare for and execute live performances. The
individual will be responsible for the visual appearance of venue shows and events by
advancing, programming, and executing amazing light designs to fit the needs, budget, and
aesthetics of various live events happening in the three venues. The ideal candidate has a
knowledge of all things related to show/ event lighting, a passion for music & live events and is a
collaborative, team player.


This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position with a varying schedule based on event bookings
and venue needs. Daytime, evening, night and weekend availability is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Communicate (“Advance”) with tour managers, production managers and clients to
    prepare for each scheduled performance.
  2. Coordinate “Advance” details with various departments (booking, accounting, box
    office, production, event operations)
  3. Manage, report and reconcile rental equipment budgets
  4. Create and distribute lighting plos, as needed
  5. Assist with Load-in & Out of performer and rental equipment
  6. Perform set-up/ integration of band and rental equipment with house systems
  7. Lighting console operation/ Live show lighting design and direction
  8. Oversee and support visiting lighting techs
  9. Ensure proper use and care of house equipment
  10. Conduct preventive maintenance and repair of venue lighting equipment
  11. Recruit, schedule, and train lighting technicians
  12. Assist with various production projects throughout Center Stage, The Loft & Vinyl
  13. Interact with artists and clients to ensure successful events.
  14. Support venue and show operations
  15. Support Rival-produced events outside the venues
  16. Make it a great day for artists, clients, crews and team members

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3-year minimum live show lighting direction experience with a venue, tour or
    production company
  2. Experience in pro lighting and video systems
  3. Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft & Google Workplace applications
  5. Ability to manage and organize multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Excellent communication skills and passion for live music
  7. Must thrive in a team environment, but be able to take initiative and work
    autonomously
  8. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and work in an environment with loud audio and strobe
    lighting

  1. Salary range of $45,000 – $60,000, starting wage depending on experience

VENUE AUDIO ENGINEER / SHOW PRODUCTION LEAD

Rival is seeking an experienced, motivated and dynamic Audio Engineer/ Show Production Lead
to join our event production team!

THE ROLE:
Rival is in search of an Audio Engineer/ Show Production Lead to mix live shows in Center Stage,
The Loft & Vinyl. This role will work closely with the Production and Booking teams as well as
artists and clients to prepare for and execute live performances and events. The individual will
be responsible for making the room and the act/ event sound unforgettable, keep up with
industry trends, maintain equipment, and contribute to the tech planning of the venues. As the
go-to audio guru for shows/ events, the ideal candidate will have a passion for music and live
events and is a team player.

This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position with a varying schedule based on event bookings
and venue needs. Daytime, evening, night and weekend availability is required.

  12. Interact with artists and clients to ensure successful events.
  13. Operate pre-programmed lighting controls when Lighting Operator is not present
  14. Support venue and show operations
  15. Support Rival-produced events outside the venues
  16. Make it a great day for artists, clients, crews and team members

    company
  2. Experience in professional concert audio systems, stage lighting and video systems
  3. Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft & Google Workplace applications
  5. Ability to manage and organize multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Excellent communication skills and passion for live music
  7. Must thrive in a team environment, but be able to take initiative and work
    autonomously

Now Hiring: Operations Manager

Operations Manager
Center Stage | The Loft | Vinyl
Rival Holdings, LLC


Rival Holdings is seeking candidates for the position of Operations Manager. The Operations Manager reports to the General Manager and will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of both the facility and event operations in Center Stage, The Loft and Vinyl in Midtown Atlanta. This role has an emphasis on event and staff preparation, and a utilization of crowd management best practices to empower the frontline team to provide our guests with a consistent level of excellent service that exceeds their expectations and enhances their entertainment experience. This position works with venue Production, the Box Office, Security, Marketing and Talent/ Rental Booking departments in order to ensure that all facility and event needs are met.


Qualifications
● A proven leader with strong management and communications skills
● Extensive knowledge of event logistics, venue operations and facility management
● Minimum two years experience as Venue/ House Manager, Operations Manager or in a comparable role
● Experience in a high-volume event facility is preferred
● Background managing multiple departments with a large number of staff, ideally experience managing Security, Guest Services, Ticket Scanners, Janitorial and other Miscellaneous Service staff
● Previous experience collaborating with police, fire, health departments, and other public officials/ government regulatory bodies
● Computers skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Workspace
● Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
● Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
● Flexible Schedule, but day/night/weekends availability is required
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a moderate to loud noise level and strobing lights
● Must be a team player, but be able to work autonomously
● Requires the ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs
● Position involves extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping and kneeling

Responsibilities
● Manage labor costs through appropriate staffing and schedule management
● Supervise hourly staff and supervisors
● Collaborate with the concessions management team to ensure concessions program is meeting needs and expectations of Rival Holdings
● Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports in Security and Guest Services departments.
● Conduct weekly staff & event planning meetings
● Maintain open door policy with staff
● Train, coach and provide performance related feedback to all hourly direct reports
● Plan and execute ongoing staff training including, but not limited to: Onboarding/Orientation, Security/Guest Service Training, Emergency Response Training, and First Aid Training
● Meet or exceed budgetary expectations on all relevant line items
● Maintain appropriate staffing levels – hiring, terminations, maintain disciplinary documentation per Rival Holdings Standards
● Conduct regular venue walk throughs in order to maintain the highest standards for venue cleanliness, organization
● Manage and prioritize ongoing list of required facility repairs and routine maintenance
● Meet or exceed health and safety requirements in all applicable areas
● Maintain Operations department supply and equipment inventory
● Maintain, coordinate, and maximize labor based on nightly changes in sales/business volume
● Maintain adequate environmental standards in the venue (light, sound, room temperature, cleanliness, line of sight, table maintenance, promotional materials, etc.)
● Perform event pre-shift and post-shift (if required) meetings
● Assist in the management of all aspects of facility operations, including but not limited to, front of house operations, preventative maintenance, staffing, and ongoing venue set-up and break-down
● Ensure that all outstanding tasks are handled either personally or through delegation to other staff members when appropriate
● Assist department managers with the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision and scheduling of part-time staff
● Maintain and monitor records of all incident reports and investigate/manage all pending cases, including interviewing staff or other witnesses and attending arbitration hearings when necessary
● Investigate and resolve guest related complaints
● Implement and execute all venue policies, procedures and programs
● Assist in the creation and implementation of effective recruiting programs for event staff in multiple departments
● Oversee the advance, staffing, execution & settlement of all venue and artist merchandise sales
● Provide a safe and secure facility for both guests and employees
