DaVionne
Some people find music, DaVionne was found by it. At eight years old, in a church pew in Augusta, Georgia, she found herself in possession of a voice that already knew things her years hadn’t lived yet. Graced with a spellbinding sound that captures the most nuanced of emotions, she is a southern girl with something to say. Her music weaves together R&B and Hip-Hop with folk undertones, carrying the spirits of Corinne Bailey Rae and Erykah Badu filtered through a voice and vision entirely her own.
At nineteen, she walked into the Revenge of The Dreamers 3 writers camp hosted by Dreamville records and walked out on a Billboard 200 #1 album and her first GRAMMY® nomination — before she’d ever signed a record deal. She went on to be featured in Alicia Keys’ Uncharted, a documentary
about what it costs women of color to claim their space in this industry, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and is now streaming exclusively on Paramount+. Because DaVionne doesn’t just claim space. She builds her own. Two GRAMMY® nominations deep, she is a vessel committed to listening to her life and letting it lead. Her debut EP Good Grief walked through heartbreak like scripture — the five stages, raw and unfiltered. Her forthcoming EP Love on the Rocks is the next chapter. Not a sob story, but what happens after the grief settles. When wisdom arrives. When you stop mourning what burned you and start moving like someone who learned from the fire.
